How Will The Spin Go This Time?

30 Aug

Have they been fair, and is the article one that shows concern, whilst discussing “What Happened?” or is it a shoot down?

    Andy,

The only thing I can find about this magazine is in the Daily Mail:- “…Chaunce Hayden, a former Howard Stern regular, who is the publisher of Metropolis Nights, described as ‘New Jersey’s No. 1 nightlife and entertainment magazine’ and ‘Chaunce Hayden, formerly with the shuttered Stepping Out magazine’.

Is it an interview or just a piece on what’s gone wrong with JD in recent years?

have no idea but I’d bet on the latter

They have a website & other things online, and it’s described as a four-year-old NJ “lifestyle and entertainment” glossy. But this looks as if it’s the September cover & it looks as if the full issue doesn’t go online until sometime in the following month so as not to undermine the print version. (You can read the August cover story on their website now.) It’s extremely unlikely that an obscure NJ monthly landed an interview with J. Depp, and if they had, they’d be trumpeting their coup from not only the cover but in press releases with teasers picked up by other publications. This is most likely a “write-around” (as they call it in the trade), meaning they pillage things already written and present it as their own. “Interview by” on the cover may mean the writer interviewed someone, perhaps his own mother. 😉 “Sources said,” “an insider said,” and and all of that garbage. Sleazy, sleazy. Magazines will do almost anything to put a celebrity on the cover. Also, this would likely have been written some months ago. There is usually quite a lag time with magazines.

It looks like Chaunce Hayden is a gossip writer who’s willfully spread lies in the past to sell newspapers, etc. Not sure I’d trust whatever he writes about JD.

You are right he is a vulgar and one more leech gossiper.
He used as hashtag “midlifecrisis”, “batshitcrazy” and in his instagram @chauncehayden he made the following comment –
“It’s interesting… we all have demons, but it seems the older we get the demons go from edgy cool to sad and tragic.”

Unfortunately, that last sentence I’d true….let face things we did as young adults look desperate when you get older.

Yeah, I wouldn’t put too much validity and reliability into this guys reporting. He was involved in a multi million law suit against Post where he made up a false story and “willfully spread it”. Then the Howard Stern and Sirius thing. He seems a bit shady to me.

A friend of mine saw online that Hayden is being sued for an older story (Not on Depp) that he wrote. Apparently, he had made it up. My friend also sent me what looks like a twitter snap shot of the Depp article. If what she sent is the actual interview then it is either very old or made up of parts of older magazines. He talks about his band P and the birth of Lily Rose.
