Joe Perry on Depp

The Divorce:

“Nobody has even mentioned it,” Perry tells Billboard. “Look, he’s a really private guy. He’s dealing with it, but as far as the band goes, nobody gives a shit. Everybody’s interested in his playing, y’know. I’m sure there’s the first minute of the first song where people are curious to see what he’s going to do or what he’s gonna look like or whatever, but after that they just listen to him play and then they get off on the band. It’s as simple as that. But [the divorce] is a whole other world. All that trash that’s out there doesn’t have anything to do with us.”

Love Joe Perry and Aerosmith too, hope they do tour and come to my neck of the woods. I also hope HV does go back into the studio and does a tour as well. These guys, veterans, is an understatement.. I’ve seen Alice too, fucking amazing! Sounds like they enjoy this new band and the possibilities of where it could lead.

BTW, I think its cool that Joe keeps it about the music and not discussing anyone`s personal life. Smart and respectful, imo.

Im just wondering why Joe Perry and Alice cooper aren’t saying that they believe that he’s innocent… Yes it might be wiser for them to just say that his involvement with the Hollywood Vampires doesnt have anything to do with his personal problems but as his friends and bandmates imo, if they know the truth, they shouldve mentioned that they dont think hes an abuser… cause now it just makes Joe look like he’s an abuse apologist cause hes like “that trash out there doesnt have anything to do with us” but that is so vague and just sounds like he’s implying that he doesnt care if johnny’s an actual abuser or not
but he probably KNOWS whats up… it wouldve been nice if he actually said it tho

    anyways… just my onion

    Saufampere you are a fool.

JD is a very private man. The Hwvamps won’t disrespect him by discussing Heard’s accusations because (1) they honor their bandmate (2) it has nothing to do with the band (3) they don’t want to give the only real Vampire they know aka Heard any publicity.

BTW, he isn’t vague; he is saying that Heard and the BS she has spewed is trash.

      Yes, agree

I agree and who knows, maybe Johnny has asked them all to not speak specifically about the allegations and or the divorce. And you’re right, he’s a very private person who rarely speaks about his personal life. He hasn’t even spoken out about the allegations or divorce so why should he expect anyone else too? It’s not their job or responsibility to speak out, and likely will do more harm then good. It’s clear to me he’s been advised to not speak and to work out a settlement behind closed doors. He may never speak about it, we’ll all have to wait and see.

it appears to me that Joe’s only addressing the divorce and doesnt even acknowledge the abuse allegations
If Johnny himself told them not to speak about it, then of course they should respect that
And I don’t think that addressing the allegations to say that they believe he’s innocent would be disrespectful unless they specifically know that Johnny would not like them to do so

Love Aerosmith! First saw them in 1975, so I am an old rocker. I was 15 . Peace, Love and well, all that. Those were the best of times, those were the worst of times.

I guess some people still have class…not like some other people we know.

I think it would be hard not to voice your opinion about Ms Heard her accusations …it would be interesting to meet her on a one on one and see what she’s really like. Of course if I had to choses between meeting turdy or Johnny….the choice would be easy …Johnny.

“All that trash out there…..” Isn’t that what AH tried to do to JD? Trash his name, trash his reputation, and trash his career by going public with DV accusations?

I think JP responded to the question in a way that made it clear that he was not there to talk about JD’s personal life. The HVs are working and like any other work place, your personal issues should not be brought to work with you.

Being the private person JD is, I don’t think he would intentionally bring his personal issues into his work life.

Also, if there may be a gag order in place. If so, his inner circle would know that and honor the gag order.
