Johnny Depp’s dogs: Wife Amber Heard summoned over smuggling

15 Jul

FIRST OFF THEY AREN’T HIS fucking rats, they belong to AMBER TURD.

The actress wife of Johnny Depp has been summoned to appear in court over allegations that she smuggled the couple’s dogs into Australia.

Amber Heard came under fire in April for failing to declare Yorkshire terriers Pistol and Boo to authorities on their arrival in Brisbane.

Australia has strict animal quarantine laws to prevent importing infections.

At the time, a minister said the dogs would be put down if they stayed.

“It’s time Pistol and Boo buggered off back to the United States,” agriculture minister Barnaby Joyce said.

The dogs left the country unharmed at few days later.

However, a subsequent Senate hearing was told that Depp and Heard could be sentenced to as long as 10 years in jail, or be forced to pay a fine of up to $265,000 (£172,000) if they were found guilty of illegally importing then.

Depp is currently filming the latest instalment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise on Australia’s Gold Coast.

But it is Heard, the star of Friday Night Lights and Magic Mike XXL, who has been ordered to appear in court, Australia’s department of agriculture confirmed.

“Ms Amber Heard was served with a summons issued by the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions on July 14,” a statement read.

“The CDPP’s action follows an incident where a biosecurity officer attended a Gold Coast property in April and found two dogs alleged to be illegally imported.

“All animals entering Australia must have an import permit, and have undergone relevant testing and health checks signed off by a government veterinarian from the exporting country to ensure pests and diseases from overseas are not brought here.”

Heard previously criticised the way the case had been handled, and suggested she would not return to the country.

“I have a feeling we’re going to avoid the land Down Under from now on, just as much as we can thanks to certain politicians there,” she told Australia’s NBC.

“I guess everyone tries to go for their 15 minutes, including some government officials.”

You mean they’re actually Amber’s dogs??? Not Johnny’s???? I am so shocked!!! Who on earth would have thought that they belonged to her???

    Karma’s a bitch…
What did she think was going to happen…she would leave the country and they would forget about her smuggling her pets in the country. Did she really think they would just let it go especially after she ran her mouth off.
For god sake johnny let her take the fall…it might do your marriage good to have her locked up for 10 years and move her free loading family and friends out of your houses.
but I think he will bail her ass out cause he will look like a big asshole if he let the precious one and only turdy take the fall.
I still say the divorce will happen early next year.

“She faces three charges under the Australian Quarantine Act, including two counts of illegal importation of an animal, one for each pampered pooch, and one count of producing a false document.
The Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions will allege the actress falsified her passenger arrival card to conceal the two dogs when she and Depp returned aboard a private jet in May”

If she had kept her mouth shut about the whole situation, there’s a decent chance this never would have gone this far. But because she decided to explicitly shit on an important Member of Parliament, she’s getting the harsher treatment.

She won’t get any jail time. We have lenient sentencing here compared with the US. But she will get a hefty fine.

So Amber now will be able to list another achievement after her name– international dog smuggler.

I read that her attendance in court may not be required as a lawyer may attend on her behalf – I hope the court forces her to appear. The court date is on my birthday. What an amazing gift it would be to see her humiliated and fined/sentenced to jail (even if it is for a brief time). Does anyone know is Austrailian courts allow cameras to be present? …. Fingers crossed that she is lambasted & fined.

Very rare for cameras to be allowed. But the general public is allowed to sit in the court and watch (sometimes it’s not allowed for high profile criminal cases, not sure if this counts as high profile because of who she is…).

I would be surprised if she fronts court herself. It’s more likely that her lawyer will represent her. But if she wants to make her case stronger, she will turn up herself. If she does turn up, then I would venture a guess that the court will be closed to the general public.

Thanks Elle. My rational self knows that on Sept 7 she’ll be hiding with pistol in LA but I’d sure like to see her squirm and get a strong dose of reality.
