Depp Pays Tribute

16 Jun

Depp writes, “Sir Christopher Lee, a wonderful man. A profoundly kind, generous, warm and fascinating man. The consummate gentleman. He was an inspiration in both life and art. In the time we spent together, I had the honor and good fortune of being welcomed into his illustrious proximity. His friendship is one that I will always hold close and dear to my heart.

“He was the last of his kind. A rare specimen. Hypnotic and commanding, as noble and gallant as he was wise. A brilliant mind with a beautiful heart whose strength of spirit will, in turn, live on in the hearts and minds of many, many generations to come.”

Agreed

Many of us will miss his voice. What a notable one he had.

Beautifully said. Johnny does indeed have a way with words.

Can I say this, it’s about frikin’ time!!! The man died on June 7th!!! I understand that Depp is in the middle of filming, but you mean to tell me that on one of his breaks he couldn’t find the time to comment??? He’s never had trouble doing that before. Depp was mentioned in almost every article and he taking so long to comment was very odd and IMO, disrespectful. Plus, given the push of Turdy that Depp seems to be willing to do as of late, I’m surprised that he didn’t start it by saying, “Both Amber and I think…”!!! Maybe that was it, he had to consult her to be sure he was doing what she wanted. If he’s not in his right mind for her to be looking to get POA and all, then he had to check with her to be sure. And she was probably too busy painting a picture that looked like iO to me (very short hair) to be bothered to read and approve Depp’s comments on Lee’s passing.

It is interesting that the statement was not from both Depp and Heard. A married couple would make it from both of them. That’s what it means to be married. On important matters, you are a unit, a family– not individuals. It shows how shallow their pretend “marriage” really is.

Actually, I was being sarcastic. I don’t think it would have been appropriate to include A Turd in his tribute to Christopher Lee. It was just a way of showing how inappropriate Depp has been to use his name and career to get her known.

It doesn’t matter what she thinks- & I almost don’t care what he thinks….. If this is the company he wants to keep, maybe he should be greatful he got to say anything at all ….. He seems to have become a shallow, nonsensical prick, he should have to have observed visits with his kids and Amber …..not at all.

What a joke him speaking so eloquently for Lee but acting so pathetic around everyone else the rest of the time….. If he can come up with those words for a tribute to something passed away, he can act better in his life around people living he cares about.

I think I understand what you are saying. I think there are a lot of people that wish he would speak out about some concerning things. I suppose that goes into privacy and not spilling, complaining or explaining as he stated, but I’m sure there are many who wish he would let everyone know HE was okay.

Well what I was thinking, if he can make his tribute that nice and mean what he is saying, there is no sense to the behavior and actions he carries on with her and not do what he has to to stop it….
It’s like his words and actions in his life don’t
        match up- so to speak

When words and actions don’t match up, that’s called being a hypocrite or a sell out.

How could the Johnny Depp who made such an eloquent tribute have married a vulgar creature like Amber???
