She’s So Vain

27 Apr

Amber Heard has made no secret that she agrees she’s very pretty. She has stated in the past she wasn’t in control of the “gene card” she got. She’s moaned and complained about the sexy roles she’s gotten, and at the same time said she only takes roles that are meaningful to her. Now when interviewed during the Tribeca film festival, she has stated,

# “I’ve been in this business for 12 years or something and it’s incredibly frustrating to be able to just now be trusted or given roles like this because this industry’s very hard on women, because you’re constantly asked to choose between one of two archetypes: sexy or not.

“In the former, it’s completely unfulfilling work to undergo ##and it’s not fulfilling for an audience to watch. It’s incredible frustrating that a system is in place where you have to choose one or the other. ### I should not have to choose to be taken seriously or to be beautiful. I finally get to do a role without any of that shit, it’s about a character and her issues and her problems and her journey.”

Heard later adds, “I try to find ways to make my characters stronger, independent. I’ve always chosen strong women, smart women, I’ve always chosen to protect myself as best I can, ####but the really fucked up thing is that nobody has any incentive in this industry to invest in something other than what can be seen in you or what’s the easiest thing to do.”

End Quote

# “I’ve been in this business for 12 years or something

Yes….12 years and nothing. Still nothing. Reason for no better roles? YOU CAN’T ACT.

##and it’s not fulfilling for an audience to watch

Thank you

### I should not have to choose to be taken seriously or to be beautiful.

No reason to, for many people you have neither – there’s the issue.  Add lack of talent and you’re screwed.

####but the really fucked up thing is that nobody has any incentive in this industry to invest in something other than what can be seen in you or what’s the easiest thing to do.”

You said it best. “What can be seen in you” It is not you are beautiful and therefore get the sexy roles, no. It’s your lack of talent and you “play” promiscuous well.  So what’s the easiest thing for you to do Amber, as you stated above? That’s right…..the role of the promiscuous girl.  Now where on earth would they get that idea from?

I don’t know who this is more insulting to: all of the beautiful and talented actresses currently working in Hollywood who are getting good, meaningful characters and recognition for the roles they play or to Johnny Depp and the part he let her play in the Rum Diary.

The only thing I can think of regarding her complaint about having to choose between being pretty and being smart/interesting/strong etc. is that she doesn’t consider all of the actresses, both around her age and younger, who do play those characters she seems to crave, beautiful. She probably sees a talented, successful actress in a film and thinks “what an ugly bitch.” As a matter of fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t genuinely consider herself the most beautiful actress in Hollywood. I wonder if she really believes the bullshit she’s saying or if she knows her fanbase is dumb enough to believe every lie she shits out in interviews.

And regarding the Rum Diary, from what I’ve heard that was a very personal project for Johnny Depp and I’m sure every detail of the film mattered a lot to him, whether people liked the result or not, and in this interview she’s basically dismissing that role too (pretty much the only film anyone can name that she’s played in, and not because of her performance) as just another meaningless, vain, dumb character.

And wow, 12 years? She has the courage to actually admit how long she’s been in this business without making any impression at all? This interview is like saying “look at all the shit I’ve made so far, I’m worthless, give me better roles”. She’s close to begging and don’t tell me she’s trying to use oppression against women to make her “cause” seem more worthy because that is insulting to every person in the world who has a vagina. She is NOT oppressed by the “mean industry” that she CHOSE to be a part of, as a matter of fact she’s getting much, much more from it and from all the “fucked up” bastards who won’t take her seriously, she is NOT even a feminist, everything about her and her behaviour is anti-feminist and insulting to the entire female population and everything that TRULY STRONG, INDEPENDENT and INTELLIGENT women have and are fighting for and you do NOT have to choose between being beautiful and being smart, just because she thinks every woman who’s achieved something is ugly (and probably envious of her “amazing” genes too) doesn’t mean that these dark age ideas are still valid or believed by anyone.

From the way she talks she always gives the impression that she was raised with some backwards ideology and then someone told her “listen, moron, you can’t say that shit in public”, so she learned a few buzzwords that would make her seem more wordly and now she’s like a broken puppet trying to recite a speech. She did say she go into trailer trash more real quick, I guess she really meant genuine trailer trash and the worst that comes with it.

Amber Heard is tired of her sex symbol image in Hollywood and, therefore, has decided that she doesn’t want to be Hollywood’s sex object ..

THIS IS TURDY WAVING GOOD BYE TO HER ACTING CAREER:
Her prepubescent boy, lesbian and free loading fans will be sorry to see her go but all 30 of the can take turns supporting her when Johnny dumps her ass.

Does she have a split personality or why does she in the same interview condemn her roles as mindless sex-puppets that frustrate her (and her audience … just a sec, what audience?) and two paragraphs later call the same roles strong, smart women? What now Amber, can’t decide?

So I guess that all the cosmetic surgery and touchups were done to give her more gravitas?

I bet she wouldn’t even admit it. I bet she’s one of those plastic surgery deniers, if an interviewer asked her that she would act like she doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

It’s so obvious in every single photo of her, even in the photos of her on the street or in airports of wherever, places where it shouldn’t matter so much how you look, that she’s terrified of looking bad. She’s well aware that her looks – as fake, altered and bland as they are – are the absolute only thing she has, the only reason anyone would ever take a photo of her or pay her a penny for anything. She has made an effort to become to dumb, vain blonde and now she’s acting like she was forced to.

      Jessica Chastain
      Lupita Nyong’o
      Lena Headey
      Viola Davis
      Emma Watson
      Emma Stone
      Anne Hathaway
      Emilia Clarke
      Marion Cotillard

and the list goes on and on. These are all relevant, talented, well-known, successful, BEAUTIFUL actresses working in the same industry and the same age, year, country as she does. Who’s forcing them to do what? What are the belittling, objectifying roles that they were forced to take? Or are they not pretty enough for those roles? I’m sure she thinks she’s some kind of template for how women are supposed to look like, and poor thing she was cursed with the perfect genes.

I find it revolting how there are so many talented unknown actresses out there who work hard and who’d probably be ecstatic to get a part in a tampon commercial and this wannabe-everyone-she-can’t-be is pissing on the people who pay her undeserved salary, on the unseen people in the film industry who work hard at making her films bearable, on the thousands of much more suited and qualified actresses who could have gotten every role she shat on and done a million times better job, on the poor bastard who took the pity and/or went insane and married her, or at least made it seem like he married her and on every other poor bastard who ever wasted their money paying to see the films she’s been in, even if by accident. I’m so glad this website exists because even one single person falling for her bullshit is one person too many.
