When I live my life over again

Amber Heard plays the character Jude

Tribeca, where it premiered had this to say:

By contrast, Jude’s complaints about life are vague and mostly go unspoken. Watching a privileged, good-looking youth let the world pass her by isn’t nearly as interesting as seeing how she sits in judgment of her old man, lamenting his taste in women (poor Ann Magnuson, in the thankless role of Wife Number I-Lost-Count) and worrying he will yet again embarrass himself in search of another hit. While we may find it hard to root for Jude, Paul doesn’t, and Walken’s cajoling (“Come aahn. I’ll be dead soon.”) supplies most of the film’s bright moments.

The Adderall Diaries

Amber Heard plays the character Lana

Variety – Guy Lodge Film Critic says (excerpt):

James Franco headlines this muddled, passionless adaptation of Stephen Elliott’s true-crime memoir.

…….Besides, something else has caught his attention at the trial: solemnly beautiful New York Times crime reporter Lana (a stifled Amber Heard), whose allegedly grueling job at least affords her plenty of time for kinky frolics and moody midnight motorcycle rides with our tormented hero. (Perhaps Elliott’s writer’s block is contagious: We never see her compose one word onscreen.) It’s a little dispiriting to see a female writer-director formulating this vapid fantasy figure, though at least Lana’s male counterparts aren’t notably more developed.

Turdy’s characterizations are poorly executed but her poses are humorus displays of artistic expression.
