Can we trust pipole site? I heard that even french people think it’s a trash site often lying and making up stories because they would like that Johnny and Vanessa came back together….. true or not, I truly think that by now Johnny and Amber are facing what Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had to face at the beginning of their relationship: truth, lies and half truths spread over all the web and from the media…
Anyway I don’t think he meant that he loves Vanessa like he wants to come back with her. He said he loves her because even when people split they keep loving and caring for each other. Indeed in this interview he said anything new. He already told in Rolling Stones magazine interview that the fact that you split with someone doesn’t mean you don’t love and don’t care about that person anymore. I don’t like Amber with him of course, I don’t think she’s sincere, but we can’t speculate anyway on Johnny’s words nor about the meaning of the word “love” because there are many ways to love somebody and I think he meant he still loves Vanessa in the sense that he still wants her in his life, come on. We hate Amber but we have to be unbiased about what kind of love he meant when he mentioned that word. I don’t think he wishes to come back with Vanessa, otherwise his latest years with her wouldn’t have been bumpy as he told and he wouldn’t have cheated on her that much if Vanessa made him so happy.

What I want to say is just we don’t have to delude ourselves about the fact that he’s still in love with Vanessa to the point he would come back with her if he could because I don’t think it’s true and Amber has nothing to do with this. Johnny was rumoured of cheating on Vanessa before than Amber came into the picture and to me it was evident that he and Vanessa weren’t that happy since the beginning. Vanessa herself admitted this and I noticed that they progressively started to spend time apart since 2006 until it happened they had really little time during the year to spend together because of their work. Something is wrong when people care more about working than finding a way to spend more time together and he even told in the Rolling Stones interview that relationships get complicated for artists because they’re often apart because of their work even though I disagree because it’s also a choice spending time apart. When two people love each other, they find a way to spend time together and they avoid of working simultaneously but Vanessa and Johnny didn’t. They both were ambitious and they didn’t want to renounce to be artist, so the time they started to spend apart increased year after year and a split was inevitable at some point. This is why I don’t think he wishes to come back with Vanessa because they should start to have same problems as before if they did because she can only work in France while he has to work outside of it. And that’s maybe why he chose an american girl this time. It cannot be love but Johnny doesn’t wanna stay alone.
Lala – I agree. It seems to me that Johnny still loves Vanessa, he’s just not “in love” with her anymore. From what he said in the Rolling Stone Interview and from what we have seen, the times apart for their work took its toll on the relationship and they eventually just grew out of being in love with each other and I do agree, Johnny is not a man (like most men) that can be and shouldn’t be left alone for too long. He said a long time ago in an interview that part of him wanted to be a stay at home family man and the other part wanted to go out and party. Maybe she was hoping he would settle down some day but eventually realized that was never going to happen b/c Johnny is who he is and he is never going to change. One of his latest tattoos is “Man is a Giddy Thing” which if you do the research, means man is impulsive.

What is was referring to “Man is a Giddy Thing” I found as a definition in Wikopedia referring to Shakespere but here are also the words from the song of Mumford & Sons “Sigh No More”, which also explain to some extent of the meaning that man is impulsive. We all know Johnny is a big fan of both so everyone can draw their own conclusions about it and how it relates to him. I know he said he has no religion now but remember these are not his words.

Actually Lala, I was never into the Johnny/Vanessa thing and I have no care if they were to get back together, honestly I hope they don’t. But what is KILLING me about this is that Johnny keeps making these very public statements, as well as stating that he is single, all the while he is parading around with a painted peacock on his arm that everyone is ASSUMING is his new love. All the while PR is scrambling to make her look legitimate.
To me, if he is making those those 2 statements, loves Vanessa and he’s single, then Amber really is nothing more than a roll in the hay that will end, when he tires of her or meets someone else. It’s usury plain and simple for him and her, it almost seems like a business arrangement. Neither of them has mentioned love, and HE won’t even MENTION her. The pics from Japan and Berlin, my impression, she was an accessory (like his necklaces and scarves) or more aptly a suitcase that he was dragging along behind him.
Either way, those 2 statements can NOT be making Ms. Home-wrecker very happy.
The idea here is that everyone needs to wake up and put this together, this is NOT real, it’s STAGED!!! We get it!!! What none of us gets is the REASON that this is being done and I don’t ever think we will hear that answer, but you can bet it is something MUCH bigger. It’s all smoke and mirrors folks!!!
Agree with this 100% and I’m gonna just throw something out that I’ve thought on and off about over the years. I think there’s a possibility Johnny could be bi or gay himself. Others have started making similar comments around the web and I don’t think we should discount it. We know the man certainly likes women but who knows, he may swing from time to time. I’ve seen a few comments being made that he may be he’s seeing a man at the moment and this is the cover. Of course it’s all speculation but anything is possible.

The statements don’t have to be written or spoken together. The fact is he keeps saying these things over and over in interviews, if you were in Amber’s shoes, how would YOU feel? Especially, that she has been kept a secret for over 2 years, if we are to believe the tabs and 4 years if we read the facts.
How are ‘your’ facts anymore credible than tabs who always get to the the extreme possibilities and then some? Pic proofs go only as early as late 2011…post the press tour when tabs have declared they hooked up. Johnny is a huge media target, a former tabloid darling and even he cannot hush the rumors. Had they hooked up during the 2009 shoot something would’ve leaked. Besides if he was able to keep her hidden that safely for atleast 2 years then why would he mess up in the last 2, allowing pics before even the official break-up was announced?.
I agree Karma, it was an old interview where Johnny just wanted to say that he still cares about Vanessa, nothing more and why he never said he’s in love with Amber? Because he’s not. I bet he just likes her and that she’s just his sexy toy as someone already told on this blog before, so he would lie telling that he loves her and I appreciate that he chose to be silent rather than stating to love a woman he just likes to fu…k. Then Amberwho I don’t think their relationship is staged or fake, because he wouldn’t have any reason in the world to pretend to date Amber also because he must be aware that dating her he attracted a lot of hatred by his fans, who why disappoint them with a hated staged relationship? It wouldn’t make any sense. He could find a real woman to date if he needed publicity and even if he was dating his publicist he would get a better publicity, come on. And these are not old interviews. They were spoken at the same time he was known to be with Amber. during the press junkets for the Lone Ranger with the past couple of months.
I think Johnny is not talking about Amber b/c everything here needs to be done in “baby steps.” He is not going to discuss a break up and a new relationship at the same time even though he has reportedly been with her about 2 yrs now, maybe more.. His PR people probably told him to hold off until the premiere is over to mention Amber. Many people on websites said they needed to see proof of the relationship so his PR people told him to bring her out with him during the premiere tour, so he wasn’t really “saying” they were in a relationship but he was “showing” it by being photographed with her holding hands. I mean..who holds hands on an escalator? He was next to her so if didn’t hold her hand then people would be speculating, again, that he didn’t want to be with her. The way I see it he really can’t win either way. Judging by some of Johnny’s friends, I can see a lot of things about Amber that Johnny would be attracted to. I don’t know if that is good or bad but Johnny pretty much said in interviews for TLR that he lives in the moment so it will be interesting to see what happens next.
The thing is gabbi, Johnny could stop all of the hiding, all of the speculation and the rumors if he just finally once and for all came out with it. If they had done that a year ago, all of this would have died down by now and it would have become OLD NEWS. Because this is NOT being done, most people seem to see it as there is something wrong. So from a PR stand point this is keeping the talk going and getting Amber’s name in the public eye but not for what she WANTS to be known for. Even the fans who seem to be supporting Johnny on public web sites and message boards are talking very differently in private messages and chats. They see the damage and they fear for what the future holds for Johnny and they all want this to be over so that they can believe in him again. That’s all it would take, they would assume (and I quote a message board moderator), “that Johnny has come to his senses and can now see clearly that this was wrong from the beginning and will go on with his life and his work.” That’s their hope but they are staying supportive publicly and if you notice, don’t speak of Amber much at all. “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything.”
Even if Johnny and Amber-Homewrecker are making sure they are in the same locations while working, they are still in hiding. Which came first? Her movie in London or his? Mortdecai was first mentioned in July. Now we find out Amber-Homewrecker will be there too! Who is following, who?

And notice, when he’s not working, he jumps into music. It was very apparent at the end of last year when things were reportedly rocky with he and Amber-Homewrecker and now he’s doing it again.
I think she is putting a lot of pressure on him and I think he knows that she doesn’t have the talent to hold the lead position in a film. It would be damaging for him to recommend her to his contacts when he knows she can’t cut it. In the end she will blame him for her stagnating career and it will be over. She wants to get everything, without paying the proper dues to get it. Johnny put in 20 years of mostly good work that didn’t connect with the public before he got his rewards. His career was built on a solid foundation. Her’s is a sand castle, one small wave and it all turns to mud.

Actually it all comes down to this. Johnny needs to work always, he cannot be stay put and sort himself out. Workaholic behaviour leads to bad relationships which inturn worsens the workaholic behaviour. A vicious circle. This is why he’s always quickly rebounded. Vanessa post Kate and now Amber post Vanessa. He needs constant company and is in love with the idea of being in love but too much of ‘Bohemian’ spirit to keep relationships intact. Take care of the house. I guess the women always stuck around because he’s a good man, interesting, and a fine lover but ultimately realized it cannot last forever. Winona , Kate, Vanessa, all were depressed because he was too good to give up yet they had to. I don’t think he cares about anything other than kids as far as his personal life is concerned, which is why he didn’t think twice before shackling with Amber without caring about her public profile or what she might make herself out of it.
And for Amber things cannot bigger than being Johnny’s girlfriend so she got in but by now she realizes that Johnny’s personal business is just that, personal. A superstar alone cannot make her, that is not what becoming Angelina Jolie is about. Which is why she’s so desperate, to the point of idiocracy, to establish herself as something out of all the press she’s getting thanks to him. However Amber will be even more heartbroken at the end ‘cos it’s just not love that she got in for but she’s not going to be anything other than Mrs.Depp. She already looks tired.
Maybe she’ll soon resign to her her destiny, stick around supporting Johnny and settle forever. Could be what Johnny is secretly hoping for wiith a starlet who doesn’t have potential. He’s always had been with women with their own careers before and that didn’t sustain.
Johnny is a wonderful man but considering some of his issues it’ll best for him and his kids to date someone outside the industry, who’ll be there for him always for his sake. Be patient and accepting even if he’s not always around to work things out ‘cos those two qualities are pillars of relationhsips. Ofcourse what I say may or maynot work but it would be a better change rather than flitting from one failed relationship with a starlet to another.
The retirement option is least likely but who knows, it’s Johnny afterall
