This or That?

Let’s take a look at things Depp has said over the years.

Here’s one about Johnny being a nice boy, not a hellraiser. That image of a great guy we bought into.

“He’s 35, he’s growing up,” Mike Newell remarks. “When you meet him, you’re meeting someone of whom your mother would approve. He is, quote-unquote, a nice boy. And that makes a very bad story. Hellraiser who hangs around with supermodels and habitually plays all sorts of loners and wildmen is a much better story. But it isn’t the truth.”

Here’s one where Johnny states his feelings on aging:

So what then does getting older mean to him? “Disgust,” says Depp. “Disgust and chronic self-awareness.”

Here’s some more:

The truth is, Johnny Depp, former teen idol turned cinema artiste, loves to go against the grain. Take the subject of smoking. During one recent interview, he inhaled a pack of Marlboros in two hours, but far from expressing a desire to kick the habit or apologizing for his second-hand smoke, he told the surprised reporter, “I want to have another mouth grafted on so I can smoke more. Instead of three packs a day, I want to smoke six.”

Clearly, Depp’s attraction to outsiders stems from his own sense of exclusion from the mainstream. “I don’t feel part of anything. I don’t feel I can fit in with the whole shebang,” he once admitted to Cosmopolitan.

“I’ve read a lot of books, from Strasberg to Stanislavsky and, in my opinion, you just take what you need and discard the rest.”

(wonder if the above is anything like adding to himself. Armor, piece by piece lol – Sorry I was just thinking of when Amber Heard said the same thing)

“There’s been nothing in my 27 years that’s comparable to the feeling I have with Winona,” he gushed to People

His most recent fiancee was super skinny supermodel Kate Moss, whom he met at New York City’s trendy Cafe Tabac. “I knew from the first moment we talked that we were going to be together,”

Still, Depp himself suggested that his pattern of replicating “a classic fairy-tale love” with one paramour after another might be about trying to “solve the fear of abandonment we all have.”

Tally Chanel, a B-movie actress, also says she got a shot at being Depp’s fiancee. They met when she was working as a hostess at the Hollywood-premiere of Die Hard 2 in July 1990. “I helped him out of his limo,” the 27-year-old recalls. “Our eyes locked, and he asked me to marry him.” They dated for a year, spending quiet nights at Depp’s Hollywood Hills home, ordering in food from a Chinese restaurant.

“He was so desperately in love with Winona,” says a friend, “that when they broke up, he wouldn’t admit it was over for the longest time.”

“Innocence and purity are themes I’m fascinated with,” he concedes, “because, for me at least, growing up in America in the 1960s, there was still some kind of innocence.”

Though, today that pix makes him burst into laugh. “I know, it could seem weird, but to me, the best pictures are the ones shot by paparazzi. They often capture much more essence of yourself than the dressed up pictures shot in the studios.” In this statement you could guess perversity with a touch of schizophrenia. It’s absolutely the opposite. Depp is into truth from the bottom of his heart even though this trough sometimes is painful.

Imagine him dating someone over 120lbs, & normal?
Shame Sandra Bullock can’t talk sense into this man.

Normal? WTF? I’d have to shut the blog down, and take a vacation that was calming and peaceful just to try and figure out what happened to make him come to his own senses.
